My name is Ricardo Alejandre, founder of Legacy Trash Chutes. I began my career in the industry as a field technician, learning the work hands-on and building my experience one project at a time. Over the years, I advanced into a foreman role, leading crews, supervising installations, and taking responsibility for increasingly complex and challenging projects throughout California. Those years taught me that experience is not simply knowing how to complete a job—it is knowing how to find solutions, overcome challenges, and see every project through safely and correctly.


Legacy Trash Chutes was built from that experience and a simple belief: the best service does not begin when something breaks. It begins by understanding the system, identifying problems early, and helping customers prevent a small issue from becoming a costly repair or emergency.


That is what “Legacy” means to us. We want the quality of our work to remain long after the job is finished. Our goal is to build lasting relationships with HOAs, property management companies, apartment communities, commercial properties, senior housing facilities, and building owners by helping them protect their chute systems, improve safety and cleanliness, extend equipment life, and reduce unnecessary emergency repairs and replacement costs.


Our experience includes 500+ new trash chute installations, 4,500+ repairs, and 10,000+ preventive maintenance services. We provide trash chute inspections, repairs, cleaning, preventive maintenance, new installations and complete replacements, trash chute door and component repairs, trash chute unclogging and clogged chute service, as well as compactor and baler service.


Whether the problem is a clogged trash chute, damaged intake door, worn component, aging chute system, or a compactor that is not operating properly, we start by evaluating the system and clearly explaining what we find. We believe customers should understand what their property needs, what can be prevented, and what can be repaired before unnecessary replacement becomes the only option.
